It is being reported that Hales has tested positive for a recreational drug.According to a report in the Guardian, he is currently serving a 21-day ban after returning positive in the test. This is the second time Hales has been found guilty of using a recreational drug.Prior to his ban, Alex Hales had taken an indefinite break from cricket due to personal reasons, his club Nottinghamshire had confirmed earlier.Hales was named in England’s provisional 15-man squad for the upcoming 2019 ICC World Cup, which starts from May 30.Hales had missed Nottinghamshire’s 50-over match against Lancashire last week.Hales was earlier fined and suspended for his involvement in a nightclub altercation with team mate Ben Stokes in Bristol in 2017.The 30-year-old Hales was given a six-match one-day international ban in December.
